Product description

Our most lightweight slip-on walking shoe just got better in our latest MetroLyte model. Building upon the MetroLyte family, this version proudly introduces a full length memory foam sock liner, featuring a contoured arch and incredibly plush underfoot experience, while maintaining the benefits of ortholite. A convenient heel tab makes it easier to slip on while the smooth MONO-SOCK construction provides a comfortable yet secure fit. The upper provides a fresh spin on the heather look, but continues to deliver a sporty style making this the easy choice for the female on the go.

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Amazing, as always. This is the second pair I've bought. A year ago I bought them in navy blue. I wore them almost every day for work. Near constant standing and walking. I was doubtful at first that they would be "padded" enough for so much activity given how small and light they are. I was shocked at how great they felt. I tend to get lower back pain throughout the day if I don't have proper support. Sadly this means a lot of fashionable footwear is out of the question for such extended periods of time. But these ASICS are the best of both worlds. I love how they look and they couldn't be more comfortable. My only complaint was how quickly my last pair developed holes in the fabric around the toes. I've definitely had sneakers that held up longer despite constant use. I'm hoping this pair lasts a little longer. Time will tell. 4 out of 5 stars. The only drawbacks are how expensive they are and how they didn't last 6 months before breaking down, which given how expensive they are is problematic since you can't just buy a new pair if you're making minimum wage.
